Mercury set to plummet slightly Saturday-JMD

Temperatures are tipped to drop down slightly on Saturday, as sweltering conditions persist to hold grip over 3C-4C above average nationwide, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department's (JMD) report.
On Sunday, the mercury will see another plunge with normal summer weather forecast to dominate in the mountainous highlands, while sizzling weather prevails in the other areas, winds will be northwest moderate to active and dusty in the eastern Badia regions, showed the JMD's update.
Today, mercury levels in Amman range between 35C-20C, northern highlands 31C-18C, while the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 40C, dropping down to 27C, 26C, respectively.
